If you're a shopaholic, and you like books, this book sale can drive you crazy!
Well, it did drive me a little nuts.

There's big variety of books, and the books are very cheap! Price from RM3 to RM40. Most of the books I bought are photo books, with hard cover, and most of them are around RM25! Photos from National Geographic!

If you've missed it this year, there's always next year! I'm gonna prepare RM500 and a trolly or a traveling bag with wheels to carry the books next year.

KLPF - 2011 Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival

Last week was KLPF again. This is the second time I went. The first time I went was in 2009. (Click here to view the old blog post.)

Went with Patrick and MC Yap.

This time I went because I want to listen to this guy's talk again. 林声. Lin Sheng.

He talked about portrait photography. He shared some of his works, photos he shot for his clients. He said a photo can be used to capture the soul. Some of his artistic photos are blur, to show movement of a dancer.

After listening to his talk, it reminded me that my photos should have a story to tell other people.

Changed or grew?

I prefer to think that people doesn't change, they grow. Growing up (or growing old) is a process we can't stop until we die. Our body, our mind, our soul. Growing, is a process that makes us who we are today.

When we grow, we learn, we gain experience, we experience things that makes us who we are.

What kind of person do I want to be? What kind of career do I want? I can't just change myself to be what I want in a second, I have to learn, realize what I want, how do I achieve that? I have to grow, I have to remember the lesson taught, know why do I do this.

I need to grow. My body, my mind, my soul.

Bad Decisions

We make decisions everyday. Some are just tiny things like coffee or tea, and some has bigger consequences that affects your life, people around you, the community, or even your country.

Good decisions are rewarding, and sometimes it's the bad decisions that has more impact in our lives, that we learn from.

I've join a partnership with a photographer and videographer since last year. And I decided to quit on September. I've learned a lot working with them. But I also learned that choosing the right people to work with is more important. I can't see the future in the partnership, I do not want to work with them. Even thou there's money coming in, but I'm not happy with what I'm doing.

I do not wish to be tied down working with them, doing stuffs I don't have the passion in it.

On top of that, my social life gets affected. Had some misunderstandings between my friends, I don't get much time to attend church, I've missed out on some responsibilities, some tasks I had to do.

I'm glad I've decided to quit that partnership. And I can see God's blessing coming to me. :)

3rd blog post in 2011

So, this is my third blog post in 2011, and it's the middle of September now.

A lot has happened during the past few months.

Went to church's youth camp, started a partnership, quit the partnership, design and printing jobs here and there, bought a midi keyboard controller, my first watch, photo shoot and designed for my buddy's CD album.

I'm gonna remind myself why am I keeping this blog. To record some lessons I've learned, experiences, events, so that one day when I read my blog again, I can see achievements, and how much I've grow.

The Rich Gets Richer

Recently I went to primary classmates gathering. After 10 years graduate from primary school, this is the first gathering we had.

We all got connected via facebook, and it's actually kinda creepy that almost everyone these days have a facebook account.

So, one of the friends talked about getting the franchise of McDonalds. You need to have RM3,000,000 to open a McDonalds, and in 2 or 3 years, you'll earn your 3 million back, and then you'll start earning more and more money.

Why is the system this way? Why does the rich gets richer? And the poor has to keep working like hell.

I recall a conversation with another friend, he says, rich people's children are more talented. They got more chances to learn musical instruments or drawing, or other hobbies compared to poor families. They can afford to buy the instrument, have music lessons, or lessons to teach drawing, or get equipments for other hobbies, these children get to learn, get to exposed to those stuffs in an early stage, so they got more chances to get better at it than poor or average income families.

And another conversation with another friend, who's interested in photography, he told me, that rich people have more chances to take good photos, or improve in photography. One of the reasons is the equipment, the lens, the camera, the external flash, etc. If a person never had money to buy macro lens, he'll never get the chance to take beautiful macro photos.

Makes me wonder, this world works in a funny way. The rich gets richer, and the poor... well, things are different for the poor or average people.

Oh, here's a Bible story that came to my mind when I write this blog post.

TMnet deserve an applause!

Recently they got a streamyx uni pack, for students studying at local college/university. It's a package where you can get a free WiFi modem, up to 4Mbps, and a FREE HP NetBook!

TM's customer service is great too. Even though the waiting is kinda slow and all (being on hold, waiting for my turn at TM Point), but once they're serving you, you can feel their sincerity, politeness, and efficiency.

Watched Toy Story 3 with Stephanie and Grace last Wednesday. Had popcorn and fries at McD after the movie, got a sore throat the next day.

I love the movie. It's beautiful. :) Love the story.

Reminded me of my toys and my childhood. All the stuffs that has sentimental value to me. Toys that were given to me, toys that I bring around every where I go in my pocket, and other stuffs like tshirts, books, etc.

It also teaches me to let go of some stuffs and move on. Some stuffs that are gone, I should let go and move on.

Learned stuffs like loyalty and trust between friends, and what's the best for everyone.

I almost cried when they all hold hands preparing to die when they're in the garbage disposal factory.

Toy Story 1 2 3, all great :)

I'll try to watch 1 and 2 again some day.

It's a Vilia camera. Made in Russia.

Bought it for US$0.03, and the shipping fee is US$19.90!

It's still in good condition :) Gonna load some film and snap some pictures with it.

After a few months of no exercise, I finally decided to go swimming again.

Recently I keep hearing people telling me I'm fat, well, now it's time for me to get back in shape... Hopefully I'll succeed in losing some fat. Maybe build some muscles too! :D I'll ask some tips for my friend Wee Kiat (Fabodylous Blog), he's the muscle guy.

I wonder how long it'll take me to lose some weight and people to notice that I've lost weight...

Yesterday I dreamt of my ex-gf. She had a butterly tattoo on her chest and a row of tattoo on her belly, with names and symbols that represent her friends. My name was not there, haha. I felt like having a tattoo for myself, but when I woke up, heh, it’s just a dream, I don’t want anything permenant stuck on my beautiful skin. :p

I also had another dream, that I’m a special agent, killer or spy, I’m not sure. And I got a message from a female agent asking me to meet her at her hideout castle. I snoop around her castle, had hand to hand combat with her. It was fun. :)

Thanks to Ludwig, I have tons of games on my iPod for me to waste my time on. :D

Also, with wifi, I can check my emails, facebook, Twitter, msn and online gaming. It can almost replace my computer. The only time I on my computer is when I need to do my homework or work.

I've never paid much attention to The Beatles band. I know they have some very popular songs, heard some of them, but I didn't know they have such weird lyrics. I've stumbled on a youtube video today, a song by Beatles, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, animation by someone else, it kinda shows that how crazy/weird/high the Beatles are.

Weird Dream #3

I dreamt that I had toothache.

3 tooth came loose, and I pulled them out. The teeth has cavity... It was scary, black colour... :(

The first thing I wanted to do when I woke up was to brush my teeth. Haha. ('Cause sometimes I'm too lazy to brush them at night and went to sleep... :P ) But, since it was middle of the night, I was too lazy to get up and I went back to sleep.

Weird Dream #2

Well, from now on, I'll try to record all the weird dreams I have here. Here goes...

Mom came home, gave me a fruit. I left it in the living room.

Then it's the Olympics. It's being held in Malaysia. I tried to go to the stadium to watch the opening ceremony, but, it was too crowded, I went to a cafe outside the stadium, watching the TV live broadcast the opening of the Olympic Games.

After that, I went to a place with lots of green (field, trees, flowers) to get away from the crowded cafe, and there a girl kissed me.

I was surprised and went home, saw that fruit mom brought home, and I took a bite.

Just then I noticed that the fruit is rotten, and there's worms inside, and in my mouth!

Then I woke up.

YAY! I've got a consolation prize in a photo contest, organized by my college's photography club.

Well, the main reason I joined is because I heard/thought (my bad) that there's 13 lomo cameras to be given away. But, actually, there's only 1 camera, and the others are just design books and magazines.

Well, anyway, I've won a Territory magazine, volume 10. :) Yea, I know it's old, vol 11 just came out, but still looks nice. Even my friend who got 2nd prize wants my book. :P

Fighting & Result

Do not fight for something that you don't see the result. Do not fight if you don't wish to make a change. Why argue when they don't listen? Just prove it to them. Why argue when it makes no difference? It's a waste of time.

Sometimes stuffs have different solutions. Winning an argument or a fight doesn't make you a better person, doesn't solve the problem, doesn't make anyone really happy, only breaks relationships.

Take a few deep breathes, step back, take some time to think.

Maybe just list down the facts why you think your idea is right and also why is the other idea bad/wrong.

Recently I read a little from the book, Thinking Course by de Bono, it teaches about PMI to an idea. P=plus, M=minus, I=interesting. Plus, why is it good, etc. Minus, why is it bad. Interesting, for listing down the interesting stuffs that is neither good or bad.

I wish I can slow down sometimes. Take more time to think about stuffs. Take some time to think before talking or replying. Keep my cool... Everything will be so much different.

Insanity is keeping me alive these days. I don't know what I'm talking about.

Everyone is an artist

Everyone can create art. Any kind of art, in any form. A drawing, a song, some words put together and you've got a poem.

I believe everyone is an artist. We're created in God's image, God is an artist, a creator, we also have the artist cell in us. :)

Some people might say that they can't draw well. So, let me tell you, drawing can be learned!

Just like learning a musical instrument, no one can play the piano once they're born. They have to pick up piano lessons, and then step by step, with practice, patience and passion, they can play a song and another song and another song.

You can teach yourself drawing too. Now at this you-can-get-almost-everything-from-the-internet era, do a little google search and we can learn some simple techniques about drawing.

I've met some people who never went to art school, but they can draw/paint very well.

Art college or no, drawing lessons or self-taught, I believe everyone can draw. Just practice. And maybe imitate/copy some of the drawings you see as an exercise.

Here's a like I want to share with you. Drawspace.com. They have some some free drawing lessons on their website. It's free to register. And they have some paid lessons too.

Man, I need to continue to brush up my drawing skill...

Yesterday (31 august) was our national day.

Well, this year, there's no parade. (I heard it's because of Puasa (WTH?!? Puasa cannot parade ka?) and also H1N.) Feels like the worst national day ever.

Even on national day, lots of people still feel negative about lots of stuffs in Malaysia. Lots of complaints, unsatisfactory, hatred, racist... Well, this is Malaysia... All this complaints, unsatisfactory and stuffs will never seize unless everyone (all races) are treated equally.

Every time the country launches a program or something, there's always people who says good stuffs about it, and there's MORE people who says negative stuffs about it.

There's too much corruption going on in the government, it's affected the people to become more and more negative about the government. Sometimes it affected people to become unpatriotic, even worse, hate their own country.

Well, anyway, I LOVE MALAYSIA! But I don't really like the government.

KLPF - Kuala Lumpur Photo Festival

Well, today and tomorrow is KLPF.

So, all hyped up with excitement, I cancelled all the other programs of the day and ready for the photo festival.

So, photo festival should have lots of photos, right?
WRONG!

Well, when I got there, the exhibition hall is full of camera stalls from different brands, photography equipment stalls, etc. There was only a little corner displaying some photos. BOOOOO... And there's no discount for the stuffs there. I can get cheaper prices.

Well, on the plus side, there's some little talks from some people. I attended one of the small talk by Lin Sheng 林声. He's a photographer from Taiwan.

KUASA Design Conference

Went to a conference organized by wREGA. KUASA Design Power Asia.

They've invited Asian designers to talk at the conference. There's Ahn Sang-soo (South Korea), Sudir Sharma (India), Freeman Lau Siu Hong (Hong Kong, China), Hermawan Tanzil (Indonesia), Little Ong (Singapore) and Tarek Atrissi (Lebanon/ The Netherlands).

Ahn Sang-soo famous for revolutionizing the Hangul written language. He look at the words as shapes and pattern, creating art from there. Most of his designs are spacious, much like another japanese designer, Shun Kawakami (Or maybe the term is Minimalism design?)

Sudir Sharma gave some tips about design business, he shared with us his 16 laws.

Little Ong from Singapore, the works he presented are more to multimedia design. Motion graphics, web design, interactive design, experimental short film, etc.

Tarek Atrissi shared about his love and passion for Arabic typography.

All of the designer's works has an essence of the country, culture they live in. Makes me wonder, as a Malaysian, how can my designs bring out the art and culture of the country I live in.

Today I start deleting some mails in my Gmail inbox.

I have about 10k mails.

I have thousands of useless junk in my inbox. Facebook, friendster, tagged, from some forums, birthday reminders, enter my birthday, invitation to join some social sites, ebay, some online games i've registered, youtube subscription updates, some newsletter i've sign-up but never read, etc...

So, i start moving those junk to trash, and now i have about 2k mails in my inbox. wow, 8k are useless stuffs that i don't read. and in the 2000 mails, there's still a bunch of useless junk there...

from 2005 never delete any mails from my inbox, till today, 4 years. :P

Giant Horse!

Had a weird dream.

I was outdoor with a bunch of people, tourists or just pedestrians I think, then suddenly there was a fountain.

It keeps going higher and higher, and suddenly, a GIANT HORSE came out from the fountain, and it start picking up people, throwing and kicking them around. It's huge, like the monsters in Power Rangers or Godzilla or King Kong.

Everyone ran. I saw a building, and I ran up to the top to watch the giant horse from a distance. And then the horse spotted me, and came stomping towards the building. I quickly ran down the stairs with the people and the horse start hitting, smashing the building, it was like an earthquake, and the ceilings collapsing...

And then I woke up... With my heart pumping very fast.

KL Design Week!!!

So, some organization organized a KL Design week from 27 March to 4 April 2009. (Visit http://www.kualalumpurdesignweek.com.my/ or http://www.kldesignweek.com/ for more details.)

I was very exited about it because there'll be conferences, forums, exhibitions... lots of well-known designers from all over the world will be coming to give talks workshops, etc...

So, yesterday morning, i went to CapSquare with Patrick for one of the KLDW exhibition. I brought a camera, but forgot to check the batteries, only got a few shots of the exhibits. (Might upload the photos when i'm not so tired and lazy.)

Today, I went to the conference "Maximum Minimalism". Lots of MIA lecturers went too... So, some of the presenters are ok, some are good, some are... ZzzzzZZzzz... boring... Some didn't really stick to the theme about minimalism, or even talked about it. I've took some notes...

Well, i'm kinda tired now... got to get some rest...

MY CD PLAYER!!!

IS STOLEN!

I was woken up by my mom this morning and find that my car was broke into and the CD player is stolen!!! NOOOO!!!

The burglar broke the safety glass window, scroll down the window and climbed into my car to steal the cheap CD player that's from Avanza.

Instead of taking only the head unit, the dumb thief took the whole thing along with my Saviour of the World - Planetshakers CD! Well, at least I still have the DVD that comes with the CD...

So, I went to Sentul police station with my classmate, Lai Min, to report this burglary. (I offered to fetch her home so that I have someone to accompany me. Haha.)

The police were ok. I told the policewoman at the counter about what happened, then she print out what I said and told me to go to some inspector. The inspector asked some questions like, "Do you have any suspects?", "Is this kind of burglary frequent around your area?", etc. Then I had to wait for an officer to take photos of my car and I can go home.

While waiting for the officer to take photos of my car, I passed by the CID lock-up room, an officer bringing a criminal with long hair and dirty clothes (looks like some murderer, rapist, creepy kind of guy... ) passed by me. I dare not look at the guy for too long and I turned around.

first of al, if there's any organization that's something to do with the Malaysian government's service, you really have to be patient. THEY ARE SERIOUSLY SLOW! taking their time doing stuffs, lunch break, tea break, etc...

i went to the post office today, took my waiting number, 1242, and waited for my turn to get served. waited for quite some time, they're slow. even though there's lots of people, there's one empty counter and a post office worker doing nothing walking around, not going to go to his counter and attend to those customers waiting...

then it was my turn. i was a little slow, crumpled my waiting ticket and was trying to open it to show the counter guy, and by the time i opened it, that sucker SKIPPED MY NUMBER! i gave him my ticket and he says that he's now serving 1244 and told me to go to the next counter. i was really pissed. then i move to the next counter and keep staring at that guy.

i've really lost my cool at the post office today.

i blame the government for spoiling those brats. there're lots of unfairness going on in this country. i love my country, but not the government.

i felt a lot better after writing this. :)

YES! today's our last presentation, group discussion. the lecturer commented that i'm a good speaker, presenter... i got A for this subject. now... no more assignments, no more class. just waiting for our final exam. :)

i'm gonna miss all my friends in my class. i'm going to further my studies at MIA (Malaysia Institute of Arts). gonna study graphic design, which has nothing to do with Public Relations.

i'm gonna miss my group members, dino, matthew, lingam, ron. all the presentations we did together were always the best in our class. gonna miss jimmy, ryan, giap, joe, jia wei, kat, cloudy, kerree, shi qi, bay, siew luan, crystal, eisha, yuki, ting ting.

today's the second time i donated blood. i'm always nervous when there's needles. although i'm not as nervous as the first time i donate blood, the youth made me nervous... they're kinda noisy actually.me and daniel were like superstars, they were there looking at us, like we're some extraterestials, or some zoo animals...

i dare not look at the needle when the nurse put the needle into my veins. there's a little pain. but, i'm still afraid. what if she put it in, and there's no blood coming out? then she'll have to take out the needle and put into my veins again? what if she broke my veins? but all went well...
i finished earlier than daniel. he actually sat on that recliner earlier than me, and the nurse attend to me first, and my blood came out faster than his. maybe it's because of the youths that's making me nervous... they keep asking and saying "why is your blood black?", it was just very dark red, "why is there 2 colours in your blood?", "your blood is warm." and they keep touching my blood packet...

after college today, Jimmy, Ludwig and I went to buy a big canvas, 3x4ft, and some acrylic. it was Ludwig's idea to do it. so we went to a art shop, bought those stuffs, went to Ludwig's house and start painting.

it was quite fun, at first, we use brushes to paint... then we start to get dirty, and used our hands. jimmy got bored and went to play Metal Gear Solid.

the painting was quite interesting. i don't to say it's beautiful 'cause i don't think it is. i don't say it's ugly because we did it. it's just interesting. hope we'll get to do more these kind of art. it's FUN!!!

A walk in the rain

I took a walk in the rain today. it was quite heavy, no lightning or thunder. I was wet to my underwear, and cold.

It might sound dumb or childish to some people, but lots of people do weird stuffs everyday, so why can't I?

I'm not sure why I did it, maybe what i want is some experience? Or I'm hoping that the rain can wash my problems away? trying to get away from everything? trying to prove that i can do weird stuffs? I was just like a kid, who wants to play in the rain.

some people like to shout. i don't know why, but i've figured some reasons why some people like to shout.
1. they think that they can prove to be more powerful, to be dominant.
2. they're deaf. they don't know that they're speaking very loud.
3. they're very frustrated by something.
4. they're born with very loud voice box.
5. they're emotionally unstable.

i really hate it. some people really shout a lot. especially when they're in an commanding mode. i'm not very far away from them, like 3 meters away, and they just blast it! some even talk very fast and loud, giving me a little shock while doing my own stuffs. it's kinda annoying really. and it makes me angry too. i think the effect would work better if they speak in a softer tone. people might actually listen and follow their instructions without complaining too much. well, it's not easy for some people to turn down their voice a little when they talk, but i don't think it's impossible to try.

woke myself up this morning coughing... went to church, keep feeling there's a lot of phlegm at my throat, feel like vomiting whole sunday service and went home after service, didn't join children sunday school. got some rest and felt better later. :D

ok, now back to yesterday night, it was Ludwig's launching of his new EP. well, he was still sick yesterday, the singing was not so good, but his violin skills are still top. :) lots of friends showed up. overall, it was quite successful. maybe ludwig will post the photos at his blog. http://ludwiglim.blogspot.com/

just got ludwig's EP today. we went to putrajaya to collect the "Original" label, went to puchong to collect CDs and CD art from printers and then we went to damansara to stick the stickers and put the CDs, case, CD art together...

it's nice to see my own design being printed. banners, posters, CD art, CDs... got them all today. :D
now... just need to wait until he sells them and get some money to pay me. $$$. i think i wanna get a camera with that money...

too bad ludwig's sick now... hope he gets well before his first press conference, which is this coming saturday... i wonder how many people will show up on that day. O.o?

ok, so today's sunday, after sunday service, children sunday school, teacher's meeting, my friends, Yong Zhi, Pey Shy, Grace, suddenly took out a cake for me! SURPRISE!!! i was so SO SO HAPPY!!! wow! i love my friends. they're amazing... that cake was good. too bad Pei Ying got to go early and can't enjoy the cake... she planned for the surprise too... oh well... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :)

so at night, me and my friends, Ludwig, Yong Zhi, Pey Shy went to pasar malam. Yong Zhi went there to meet Pei Ying. then after pasar malam, we sent pei ying home. after we send pei ying home, yong zhi wants to drive for awhile, so i followed some dumb instructions my friends gave me and got down of the car, and they don't wanna let me in... but in the end i got in too...

then suddenly, we smell some shit in the car, and when i look under my slippers, SURPRISE!!! ok, then we went to Yong Zhi's house and wash the car's carpet...

got the flu... been sick for few days... runny nose, cough, hard to breathe, a little fever, headache... ARGH!!!

finally finished all my assignments! hurray!!! now just waiting for my friend, Ron, to submit the assignments to the lecturers tomorrow. final exams coming next week. i'm having my study break now... wasting most of my time in front of my computer (as usual).

it's a new year now... our youth fellowship choose a new theme. 神的精兵 Army of God. well, it's time not that we only equip and train ourselves, we have to go out and battle. we have to fight for the lost souls. spread the gospel!!! had some plans to do some special evangelical service this year.

let's see... what happened in 2007...

got my driver's license around march.

i went for National Service from March till June. Had my head shaved... can't find any photos... it was fun, i was sent to Sabah with Stephanie to the same camp. meet lots of new friends, learned lots of new stuffs...

enrolled for Tunku Abdul Rahman College, studying Public Relations. joined some dance co-curriculum. starting to enjoy college life more and more. B-)

working part-time at Earth Productions. i'm doing some designing stuffs there. haven't submit any works to them yet... hope they'll understand... December is the busiest month because of Christmas...

had a party at my house on Christmas Eve. :-) lots of relatives came.

the youth fellowship did a drama for christmas...

I'VE GOT A MEDAL FOR WALTZ!!!

It was unexpected! i've actually got a medal for Waltz!!!

ok, so i've joined a co-curriculum program and we had a exam and competition today. we had to do 3 dances, rumba, rock n roll and waltz. me and my partner, sook mun were so anxious because we haven't arrange all the steps for our rumba. but we manage to create something this morning. :-) we've been practicing with jimmy and jenny almost everyday after class for 2 weeks and i usually reach home after 10pm, sometimes 11pm!!! it was really tiring because we have to create some of our own steps besides the steps the teacher had taught us. we learned lots of our moves from youtube. :-P

ok, so today, there's students from TARC Pahang branch. we have a total of 150 pairs. there are 6 medals for each dance, so there's 18 medals all together. Pahang branch have lots of guys in their dance class, so there were lots of guy and guy partner doing dance. (looks really gay actually.) there're lots of great dancers there. they're very creative too.

i didn't expect to win anything, just want to pass because another pair from my class, Ong Sang and Jo Lynn are quite good at dancing. we were expecting that they might win 3 medals. well, in the end, we all got a medal. Me and Sook Mun, Jimmy and Jenny, Ong Sang and Jo Lynn won a medal each. :-) we went to KFC to celebrate after the competition.

it was fun really. after joining this co-curriculum program, i love to dance even more. i love waltz more. :-P used to love breakdance when i was in National Service.

a big thank you to Sook Mun (she thought of most of the moves actually. a really great dance partner.), Mark (a helper for our dance class), David (a helper from another dance class), Ong Sang (he taught us some moves), Jimmy (if it's not because of him, i wouldn't have joined this dance thing. a really great friend too.).

Sometimes, when we look at something or someone, there'll be a sudden thought came to us, "go help them/him/her", "do this..." Then we'll be thinking about it, and when we feel like doing it, the chance is gone.

I've came across this Bible verse few weeks ago, "So whoever knows what is good to do and does not do it is guilty of sin. (James 4:17)". it doesn't say that we have to do some good stuffs or good deeds, it says that if we know that doing that we have to do something or help someone, we have to do it or we're guilty of sin.

sometimes we hesitate too much before doing an action that we know it's good. and then we didn't do it.

sometimes, we'll think that, "what benefits i can get from doing this?" or "will i be returned for what i've done?". sometimes, there'll be some rewards, but most of the time we wont get anything after doing it.

sometimes i asks myself, "why do i do this?". is it really from my heart? or it's just because i want to get some reward, impress people? sometimes i don't feel like doing it, but the Bible verse James 4:17 motivates me to do it.

Just feeling tired and kinda lost... mid term exam is around the corner but i still have lots of stuffs that i haven't study. feel like a total idiot. God give me strength and energy please.

Ok, so some quick updates about myself. Got back from National Service (hair is still very short now), studying at TAR College now. Taking CPR (Cert for Public Relations).

ok, so college life is different from that secondary school (high school) life. there's so much freedom here. the students can just go in and out of the class whenever they want, eat in class, late for class......
it's kinda fun.

today is the first day of the 3rd Exodus Asean Pacific Conference in Malaysia, organized by PLUC. I went there in the morning to help. took some public transports to college before noon.

Wow... Never know that days after secondary school days can be so booooring... I have lots of time now... Ya... Lots... So everyday it's just tv, saxophone, bass, computer, books...

I'm still deciding what to study. Multimedia design, graphic design or psychology? And there's this National Service in the middle of the year... I'm the 2nd batch. I wonder if I should go for Form 6. I'll get to go get back earlier from that National Service thing if I study Form 6.

Ah... a new year. there's going to be a party at my house tonight. it was supposed to be on 30 dec 2006, but my family have to go to sekinchan to attend a wedding dinner. went to jusco with my bro in the afternoon to buy presents and food for the party.

i was expecting my friends from school to come but they couldn't make it. hm... it's so hard to invite them to church or my house.

We played some games, praise and worship, food, watch photos of the activities we did in 2006 (i've borrowed the church's lcd projector), watched the video of our drama on 2006's christmas. lee lee brought a friend and a cake. everything goes well that night. everyone had a great time.

went to another church (i think it's glory assembly) with zhi guang on new year eve, (my church's service changed to 8.30pm for the watch night service). met some friends from elisha camp, kimberly, pei san, pei yee, grace, irene, winnie, rachel and desmond. i feel encouraged when i'm with them. they're very mature spiritually, i want my youth to be like them too. we joined their prayer meeting. me and zhi guang were the only guys there. i feel very encouraged when i saw that most of the youth are joining the prayer meeting. back in my church, i'm the only one who's younger than 25 who attends prayer meeting. i pray that my youth will be like them too, praying for the nation, church, people...

ok, so back to my church at night. there's a bible reading session, we read psalm 107 to 150. we end around 1am that night.

She's a little noisy sometimes, but i like it. the other girl wearing a red tshirt is yan ping. she's a quiet girl. but once you get to know her, she's very nice to talk to. girl in white tshirt is winnie. she's very talented in music, wrote a song during that camp, heard they're going to make it elisha camp song. she's also very cute and caring. the pretty girl in purple is adeline. she's great at dancing, soft and fun to be with. i love them. :-D

Woohoo! This is one of the most tiring Christmas I can remember. But I think it's more meaningful than the Christmases I've celebrated in the past. Our church is devided into groups to places like old folks home, drugs rehab centre, handicap centre and orphanage. Our youth group went to handicap centre and orphanage with another group.

We went to perform a drama, The story of Adam. There was a King and Prince who live in Happy Castle. They are very creative and they like to create stuffs. One day, they decided to create something that looks like them, Adam... The story starts like that, well, it's like God created the Heavens and earth and then humans and the devil tempt humans to sin, and God sent His beloved son Jesus, where all who believes in Him shall have eternal life.

I play the villian this time... have to do crazy laughs, crazy expressions... Actually I look very cool. :-P

Wow! That camp was great. There are lots of great youth leaders there. There were 23 campers (4 guys, 19 girls!!!). We've learned lots of stuffs there. There's a walk thru the old testament class, there were some actions to help us remember all the big/special events in the old testament, DISC (personality test), evangelism class...... It's so fun and exciting.

I got to go now. I'm at church and waiting for the youth group to practice for Christmas performance.

Ahh... SPM's over... My last subject was Bible Knowledge. It was ok... I can't answer few questions... Guess I can't get A for that subject. No more secondary school! Bye SMK Kepong Baru! Now is time to look forward.

It's hard for me to decide what should I study after my secondary school days... I have 3 main interests. Design stuffs, music, psychology. Well, after some thoughts, I think I should go for psychology. I can understand more on human behavior, got to know people easier, help people when they need counselling, guess what other people might do and stuffs. But some of my friends said that psychology is tough, and there's no future for psychology in Malaysia... Oh... That breaks my confidence. Sometimes I wonder if I'm suitable for psychology... Maybe I should study Graphic Design or Multimedia Design... Or study music, brush up my saxophone and bass skills... Well, now I'm just waiting for my SPM results and decide later.

Another year is coming to an end. Just discussed with my Youth committee members about next year's big plans. I pray that our youth members will grow spiritually and pray that we can win more souls for God. Everyone's excited about next year.

I'm going to a camp on Monday. It's a training camp organized by Bible College of Malaysia. 8 days... Man... I'll miss the Planet Shakers concert at Sunway. :'( But I know I'll receive alot from that camp. Hope that everything goes fine during that camp.

just came home from bukit lembing

yesterday, friday, we gather at church at 11:30am cuz we are going to start our journey to bukit lembing at 12am. there's 19 people including 3 drivers. i'm supposed to keep my brother, van driver awake. the youth members in the same van with me saw that i'm sleepy and they helped to make some noise... they sang/shouted some songs. it's very foggy out there...

we reached bukit lembing at around 5am. it was very dark when we climb it. i thought it will be very tough, but, we reached the top in less than an hour. we did our devoltion up there.

haha. lots of people says it's funny, and the message is clear. too bad we didn't video it. we wore our uniform's white shirts and the gals wore pinafore. lights and sound is fine. everything went quite well. glad it's over. now i don't have to worry about the presentation.

wilson gave me a haircut in the afternoon.

well, it was a tired day. i slept at around 12:30am and woke up at 6:50am all because of the presentation. i slept at 10pm that sunday night... broke my "going to bed time" record...

argh!!! the floor is dusty, the books everywhere, pile of clothes sleeping on the floor, the bed is messy, the table's turn over!!! my house is in a disaster!!! and my parents are coming back tonight!!! and saturday is one of my busiest day in a week! going to church to practice with the youth for tomorrow's drama. i'll tell you more about the story later... now i'm searching for music to go with the drama...

yap... my parents left... for holiday at Kota Kinabalu with my 2nd bro, his girl friend and friends. they went out at around 6:30am to the airport.

cycled to school, late...

during recess today, some form 5 fool shouted and ran towards another guy. the whole canteen kept quiet when that guy hit the table and shouted. all eyes are at him. and he ran to a guy and shouted some foul language. everyone was hoping for a fight, but too bad the prefects came over and stop that guy. show's over...

there's nothing special for the rest of the day.

went to the market with my dad this morning after 7:30am's prayer meeting. i saw a little girl, like 6 or 7 years old, dropping a coin into a begger's cup. it was a lame woman in her 30 or 40s, sitting in the middle of the road between the 2 rows of stalls, begging for money. the little girl was very happy after giving to the woman. ok, sometimes i feel bad for them, but sometimes, i just feel like, they are so useless. you can call me cold blooded, but i have my reasons. their legs can't walk, but their hands are still usefull. why not find a job that you just sit there and use your hands? like doing some handcraft, typing, writting or other stuffs. and i always have a question in my mind, how did they get there if they can't walk? maybe the people that took care of that beggar place him/her there? why would they do that? let them sit there for hours and wants symphathy from other people? they can do better stuffs than just sit there.

ok, enough with the beggar thing.

went home, had my breakfast and wait for Zhi Guang to fetch me. he's taking me to get my new spectacles. my new specs looks nice. :) i didn't wear any specs for 7 months. some of my friends have already forgot i'm short sighted.

i walked to church in the afternoon to join the youth fellowship thing. and my nose is getting worst. sneeze a lot. my mood went down a little 'cause of my nose. Yong Zhi and Patrick saw my new specs and critic about it. say it doesn't suit me, not nice and stuffs.

Well, today I gave the CF account's money to Pn Toh and she counted the money and says it's RM14 short!!! OH MY!!! Hope she find out where the money went... or else I'll have to use my money to cover it...

I went to see Ms ASSunta during recess today for the RM200 to pay for the T-shrit thingy, and she told me the CF money is with Pn Toh... DARN!

Then I went to see that Pn Toh, and I ask her for the money, and she say we are not supposed to pay outsiders to design the t-shirts for us. And she say she needs to ask Ms ASSunta first...

And Pn Toh says that we are not allowed to collect money during our meetings 'cause Pn Shoe (it's Shiu actually) doesn't allow.

What the heck?!? We are not collecting money!!! We are collecting offering!!! And the Christians are giving willing from their heart!!!

ARGH!!! Angry!!!

Today i recieved an anoying message... It's from my school's CF president.

It says that I need to take money from Ms Assunta to pay Joshua for the new tshirt thing... And she told me that Pn Toh (one of our CF's teacher advisors) have some problem of us collecting money every week. -.-"

Ok, take money from one of the teacher that I don't like, and see the other teacher that I don't even wish to see about offering problem...

Sigh... This is the problem... They shouldn't let Catholics to be our teacher advisors. Catholics and us (Christians) are different! I got to tell her why we collect offering. Thank God my mom is a pastor and I can go to her and ask her to help me out. She gave me some Bible verse, Malachi 3:7-10 and Acts 20:35.

I need to tell her that the Bible teaches us to give offering.

I went to a camp with my church's friends during these holidays. It's great! Poh Yee accepted Christ at the camp.

My whole family and Andrew's girlfriend (Janice) went to Sekenjang on 1st of May to visit my brother Thomas's girlfriend's family. We went there with my dad's Avanza.

Ashley's dad has a paddy field. We went to see it after we arrive at Mr Puah's house. Mom and dad borrowed a motorcycle from Mr Puah.

Nothing special today... youth got 16 people attend, which is good! usually there's less than 15 people.

Yong Zhi lead the worship. Ludwig play guitar, Wei Quan play drums, I play bass.

This morning Ludwig, Yong Zhi, Kai Loon (Ludwig's class mate) and I went to have breakfast and later, Ludwig and Yong Zhi came to my house. I helped Ludwig to create a Logo.

Later 3 of us went to take a bus to Mutiara (a shopping complex). We went bowling. Ludwig and I paid RM10 each for 5 games. Yong Zhi didn't want to play 'cause he don't know how to bowl (actually, none of us really know how to bowl...). Ludwig won the 1st game but I won the second one. I lend my bowling shoes to Yong Zhi in the middle of the 3rd game ('cause my ball went into the drain 2 or 3 times straight...)... Ludwig won the 3rd game. He's hand start to hurt (lolz!)... Yong Zhi won the 4th game by 1 point. 72 to 71. lolz! Beginner's luck! In the last game, I won. lolz. This is the second time i went bowling with my friends.

We ate KFC for lunch... tried the curry flavour thing... not bad... quite nice... but the stupid KFC took away the hot and spicy choice... only curry or original...

Went home by bus... they went home... i slept for 1 hour... bath and go to Ludwig's place.

boring day... got essay competition at school....

i wrote about my ship sank and i got to struggle on an island for 2 or 3 days... i don't have enough time to finnish it... so i wrote i sleep all day because i fell sick and got rescued on the second day.

My mood right now: Super blur

Just woke up a few minutes ago. *Yawn* Brain is quite blank... Listening to DC Talk's "Luv Is A Verb" and "Supernatural". There was a heavy downpour while I was sleeping.

I'm very tired today 'cause yesterday I slept at 1:30am and woke up at 9am. Had hard time opening my eyes at children Sunday school at 2pm.

Got home at 3:30pm, sleep until 6:45pm. (My eldest brother woke me up and ask me to have dinner.)

Have to go back to church at 8pm 'cause 8:30pm got band practice for 21st April 2005's praise and worship.

Today my brother (Thomas) talk about our Christian lives. He ask us some questions. Like, "Did people around notice that you are a Christian?", "Did people notice your changes in live?", "Are you still doing what you know is sinning against God?" and some other questions (I can't remember everything.)

He end his sharing with a Bible verse, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12)

Today Richard Lee Mun Chun (a form 5 CF's great leader) shared about God's forgiveness. When we r going through difficult times or when we r back sliding, we should always ask God to help us and turn back to him.

In "The Parable of the Lost Sheep" (Luke 15:1-7), when the guy who lost his sheep founds his sheep, he calls his friends and neighbours together and says, "rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep." And Jesus says, "I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." And Jesus says the same thing in "The Parable of the Lost Coin" (Luke 15:8-10).

Richard also shared about "The Parable of the Lost Son" (Luke 15:11-31). There's a man who had two sons. The younger son ask his father for his share of the estate and he waste all the money. And he had to work in a pig's farm. He saw the pigs had food to eat and no one gave him anything. When he came to his senses that his father's workers have food to spare, he went back to his father expecting his father would be angry and he wish that he can be one of his father's workers. But when the father saw him, he said, "Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found."

God is like the father in the parable. Even when we turn away from Him, He always welcomes us to go back.
